I have gradually been equipping my workshop over the last couple of years and started guitar production in November 2008.
I learned my craft on a three month course at the Totnes School of Guitarmaking in 2005, working almost exclusively by hand.
I work with traditional wood combinations – spruce/rosewood, spruce/mahogany and cedar/walnut – though other woods and wood combinations are possible. Necks are one piece mahogany, top braces are quarter sawn spruce and back braces are quarter sawn mahogany. I prefer to use natural materials where possible so bindings are maple or holly and the nut and saddle are bone.
Prices are from £1500 per instrument.
